I am very proud to state that the AFTE Journal has published an article entitled, Portable Forensic Ballistics Examination Instrument: Advanced Ballistics Analysis System (ALIAS), in its current issue - Volume 43, Number 1 – Winter 2011.
The Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners (AFTE) has been a world authority in our field since its inception in 1969. And it is truly an honour to have ALIAS accepted in the organization’s journal.
AFTE is dedicated to the advancement of one of the primary disciplines of Forensic Science: firearm and tool mark identification. AFTE recognizes the need for the interchange of information, methods, development of standards, and the furtherance of research in forensic ballistics science.
The current membership of AFTE numbers approximately 850 members, technical advisors and subscribers that represent over 40 countries from around the world. The Pyramidal team is confident that ALIAS will contribute to the advancement of forensic ballistics science and allow firearm and tool mark examiners – and police officers around the world – to solve more gun crimes, get more gun criminals off the streets and save more lives.
ALIAS leads the next generation in forensic ballistics analysis.
